Two teenage golfers from Sheffield make up half of an under-16s team heading to Italy - for the Italian International U16 Championship.

Barclay Brown, who is only 13, and Alex Fitzpatrick, aged 15, both play for Hallamshire Golf Club at Lodge Moor.

Barclay is already revelling in being crowned winner of the inaugural North of England under 14 Junior Open Stroke Play Championship at South Moor Golf Club, and Alex - who is the younger brother of 2013 US Amateur champion Matthew Fitzpatrick - won this year’s Douglas Johns Trophy.

Both will head to Italy this weekend to play in the championship from next Tuesday to Thursday, September 2 to 4. The contest is played over 72 holes, with the leading 40 players qualifying for the final two rounds.
