Yorkshire Day is an annual celebration on August 1, which aims to promote the county’s history.

It was first celebrated in 1975 and as part of the celebrations there is a gathering of mayors, lord mayors and other civic heads from across the county.

This gathering has only been held in Sheffield once since Yorkshire Day was first held, in 2017.
