Church House, the bar nestled at the side of Sheffield Cathedral and formerly known as The Sanctuary, has just launched an ambitious new menu packed with hand-cooked, locally-sourced ingredients.

The real ales are predominantly local, too. Sunday lunch comes in at a surprisingly cheap £5.95 and is served 12-4pm. Choose from roast chicken or roast beef, with veg and all the traditional Sunday lunch trimmings. There’s also a choice of starters and hand-made puddings, including white chocolate cheesecake. There’s no need to book.
