Harry Potter fans can now immerse themselves in their favourite film (or book) thanks to a new holiday let in the North York Moors. North Shire at Liverton, on the edge of the National Park, has just opened its latest storybook-themed accommodation.

The Dorm has been created by business entrepreneur and designer Carol Cavendish, who said: "Today when there’s so much fear around the pandemic, people are looking for ways they can step back from reality for a short time and be comforted in a world of make-believe which is just what The Dorm aims to do along with our other accommodation."

The area is created to mirror the common room from the Gryffindor House in the Harry Potter films.
The Dorm is available to rent for £50 per night per person based on six people sharing.
The roundhouse cottage features six handmade wooden four poster single beds each of which have red curtains and bed spreads and golden roman numerals etched on the front of their frames.
The Dorm replicates some of the key features of the lavish prefects’ bathroom on the fifth floor of Hogwarts Castle
The holiday let is decked out in the red and gold, the colours of the house Gryffindor.
The inspiration for The Dorm came from the Gryffindor dormitory and common room that was shared by Harry and his friends in the films.
The open plan lounge area resembles the students’ common room complete with a large stone fireplace and squashy sofas.
Guests can imagine stepping into the magical world of Hogwarts by staying in the cottage.
The opening of The Dorm comes just 18 months after Carol created the Groundkeeper’s Cottage which is based on Hagrid’s Hut in the Harry Potter films.
The specially-commissioned backlit stained glass window depicts a blonde mermaid that became famous in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire film.
