A skating gala starring Dancing on Ice professional Mark Hanretty is planned to celebrate the tenth anniversary of iceSheffield.
The gala, on Saturday, October 26, will form part of a big Birthday Bash which will see iceSheffield throw open its doors to celebrate the milestone.
Members of the public can skate at the rink in Attercliffe for just £1 between 10.30am and 12.30pm and 1pm and 3.30pm.
The rink sessions will be followed by a free skating gala at 3pm featuring local talent, a special guest appearance from Mark Hanretty and a spectacular aerial silks performance.
Mr Hanretty, aged 28, who trained at iceSheffield during his international career before becoming a coach and choreographer at the venue, has participated in the hit-TV show Dancing On Ice for three years.
He said: “The gala is going to be amazing and a great celebration of everything that makes iceSheffield so special.
“We’ve been working really hard to create what will be spectacular performances from expert skaters and coaches. The choreography will also share memories of some of the best moments at iceSheffield over the past 10 years.”
