"Did you wear a red nose today and do something funny to raise money?”

This year’s Comic Relief, or Red Nose Day, has already raised more than £52 million, with money still coming in.

The annual fundraiser was filmed in front of a virtual audience and featured stars including Justin Bieber and Keira Knightley, with Sir Lenny Henry, Alesha Dixon, Paddy McGuinness, Davina McCall and David Tennant on hosting duties.

There was also an appearance from the Duke of Cambridge, who thanked viewers for their ‘compassion and generosity’ in raising millions for good causes during last year’s Big Night In television fundraiser, which generated funds for Comic Relief.
