Simpkins is the world’s original manufacturers of the iconic gold travel tins and is still a family-owned business, manufacturing in Hillsborough using original recipes and by traditional methods with natural colours and flavours.

Simpkins has been producing throat lozenges, glucose products and sweets since 1921 and brother and sister Adrian and Karen, are the third generation of the family to run the company. The company was founded by their grandfather, Albert Leslie Simpkins, after he returned from World War One.
