A new football project for over 50s has been launched by Sheffield Wednesday’s Community Programme.
The initiative, ‘Walking Football’, is designed at getting people back into football to encourage them to keep fit.
Walking football is non-contact and anyone that sprints, runs or jogs whilst the ball is in play will be penalised with a free-kick awarded to the other team.
Sessions are held at Springs Leisure Centre every Monday from 10am - 11am and at Concord Sports Centre every Tuesday from 1.30pm - 2.30pm.
