Food-lovers have lined up to praise Sheffield Food Festival after the three-day extravaganza in the city centre.

Unusual ales, continental cuisine and cooking demonstrations went down a treat with almost 250,000 visitors at the fourth annual event.

The festival’s Twitter account received dozens of messages from visitors highlighting their favourite event.

One user, called @warbster13, said: “Fantastic @sheffoodfest. Had a great day, eaten Nepalese for lunch, bought some fudge, cake and duck fat potatoes, coffee and real ales.”
