Bookings are being taken by the Chesterfield FC Community Trust for places on a foundation course in driving and highway safety.
The six-week course introduces youngsters to basic driving skills with fully qualified instructors in the confines of the club’s Proact Stadium.
The course teaches youngsters how to change a wheel, basic car maintenance and how to deal with a breakdown.
There is also a session on driver responsibility.
John Croot, of the trust, said: “Young people are statistically more likely to be involved in a serious road accident when they first start driving and car accidents are the main cause of death in the under 25s. Courses such as this have been proven to reduce these terrible statistics.”
