Having eaten in the restaurant previously and not being particularly impressed, I was looking forward to my visit.
The restaurant has recently undergone a total makeover with a fresh look inside and out creating a light, welcoming environment. So far so good.
We were greeted at the door by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table,
The friendly service continued throughout the evening, and the staff were very pleasant and made up for my previous visit.
The menu was plentiful with lots to choose from and we opted for loaded potato dippers, not what I was expecting, they were more like deep fried potato peelings, but nevertheless quite tasty.
For our main we both opted for the rump steak with triple cooked chips and a side of onion rings. We agreed that the main course made up for the disappointing starter.
All washed down with a bottle of Malbec, our bill came to just over £50.
Okay for a midweek meal, but not somewhere I would choose to go for a special occasion.
Beefeater is all about affordable quality and has great value always-on offers, catering for all manner of tastes. Steak and chips start from just £9.99, Daytime Menu dishes start from £4.99 Monday – Saturday before 6:30pm and with kid’s eating free every Saturday between 12-5pm, a visit to Beefeater won’t break the bank either.
