They were all taken between 1920 and 1939, during the interwar years, and capture a lost world of cobbled streets and gas lighting.
These retro images depict a time of great upheaval in Sheffield, with many of the old back-to-back houses being torn down to make way for more modern buildings.
It was a period when Sheffield, like the rest of Britain, was still recovering from the devastation of the Great War, as it was known then, and had little idea of the fresh horrors which lay ahead, including the Sheffield Blitz, which would destroy large parts of the city.
The locations shown include Fargate, Division Street and Cambridge Street, in the city centre, as well as Bramall Lane, Netherthorpe, Neepsend and Park.
Several lost pubs and a number of old shops can be seen in the nostalgic images, harking back to a very different era and a lost way of life.
