The animal rehoming charity currently has eight dogs in its care, including a pair of bonded Chihuahua brothers, an 11-year-old Labrador in need of a fresh start and Toby, the nine-year-old Shih Tzu.
And these photos from Rain Rescue really show off the personality of the pooches in their care right now - such as the zen-like picture of Win the French Bulldog, pictured below looking very relaxed indeed in a grassy meadow.
If you’re looking to welcome a new dog into your home, there are so many dogs to choose from in South Yorkshire.
Kennels are always ready to look after a dog, but they’re no place compared to a loving home.
Below we have listed just 15 of the many dogs that come and go looking for homes at Rain Rescue at the moment.
If any of them sound like they could fit into your life, please visit the charity’s website to find out more about the adoption process.
5. Belle - Lurcher, female, 3
"Belle is a 3 year old Lurcher who came to us as a stray. She’s a sensitive soul, very worried about new people, and will need time, patience to build a bond with her. Belle has been a mum in the past and is now ready to find her own home where she can be the centre of attention. She will need to start from scratch with house training, but she already knows some basic commands like sit, paw, and wait. Once Belle trusts you, her playful side comes through and she loves her toys, going on quiet walks. She also adores running off lead in a secure field." - https://rainrescue.co.uk/animals/belle-3-year-old-female-lurcher/ | Rains Rescue
6. Enzo - :Labrador cross, male, 11
Meet Enzo, a young and energetic boy with a heart full of potential! This spirited pup is searching for an experienced owner who understands his needs and can provide him with the structure, training, and patience to help him thrive. Enzo hasn’t had much training or guidance since he was a puppy, and he can find certain situations overwhelming. He’ll need someone who can help him build confidence, work through his socialization skills, and introduce him to new experiences at a pace he’s comfortable with. This special boy is looking for a calm and understanding environment where he can learn and grow into the amazing companion he’s meant to be." - https://rainrescue.co.uk/animals/enzo-11months-old-lab-x/ | Rains Rescue
7. Wallace – Cairn Terrier, male, 5
"Wallace is a delightful 5 year old Cairn Terrier with a curious and playful personality. He loves nothing more than being outdoors, exploring new places, and taking in all the exciting sights and smells around him. Whether it’s a walk through the countryside or a sniff around the garden, Wallace is always ready for his next adventure. He is house-trained and can be left for a few hours, making him a great fit for someone who needs a little flexibility. Wallace would prefer to be the only pet in the household, as he enjoys having all the attention to himself. He hasn’t had experience around young children, so a home with older, dog-savvy children would be more suitable. Wallace is a big fan of meaty treats, which are a great way to win his heart, and he loves playtime with his toys. He’s looking for a home with someone who can offer him plenty of outdoor time, stimulation, and lots of love." - https://rainrescue.co.uk/animals/wallace-5-year-old-cairn-terrier/ | Rains Rescue
