2. Lady: Four-year-old bulldog currently in the care of Sheffield City Council's kennels
Meet Lady, a gorgeous 4-year-old British Bulldog who is looking for a secure, loving home where she can finally settle and be truly cherished. A SCC spokesperson said: "Lady came into our care alongside her son, Marvel, through no fault of their own. "She is already spayed and is a small girl with a huge personality, full of wiggles, enthusiasm and affection. "Lady absolutely loves her food and treats, which will be a great tool for continuing her training and building a bond with her new family. She can be lively and excitable, but underneath all that bulldog enthusiasm is a lovely girl who deserves stability, patience and kindness. "Sadly, Lady has not always had the most settled experience in life and has regularly found herself straying in the past. Because of this, we are looking for a home that can offer her the security, routine and understanding she needs. She can also be wary or startled by loud noises, so a calm, positive approach will help her feel safe and build confidence." | 3rd party

3. Duke: nine-year-old Kelpie x Collie in the care of Sheffield City Council's kennels
Delightful Duke is a 9-year-old Kelpie x Collie who is every bit as sweet as he is clever, according to Sheffield City Council's kennels. A spokesperson added: "He’s a lovely boy who enjoys playing with his toys just as much as he enjoys a good cuddle and plenty of affection. He appears to be very house trained and is a bright, intelligent boy who really wants to please. "Duke would love a home where he can be the only dog so all the attention can be on him. He can be a little nervous about certain things when he’s out and about, so his new family will need to be patient and help him build his confidence at his own pace. With the right people, we’re sure this gentle boy will continue to blossom. "Duke would be best suited to a home with older children, someone who has the time and patience to help him settle and where he won’t be left alone for long periods of time. Duke would love a secure garden where he can safely enjoy himself. In return, he’ll give you plenty of love, companionship, cuddles and some very enthusiastic toy play!" | 3rd party

4. ‘Indie’: one to two-year-old rottie cross husky being cared for by Sheffield City Council's kennels
A SCC spokesperson said: "Lovely Indie arrived at our kennels after being found as a stray. Indie is microchipped so we know she is only 18 months old. "She is a happy, loyal and playful girl who loves toys and will play for hours with her favourite people. She has been friendly with all staff since arriving and enjoys her time in the play field having toys thrown for her (she is still working on fetching them back but she is a very clever girl) she is also a bit of a lap dog despite being a big girl, she enjoys a good cuddle on the sofa. "She really is a all round fantastic girl who will be the most amazing furry family member for some lucky people. Indie would benefit from a active home where she can have plenty of outdoor adventures with her new family (she is a mix of two high energy breeds) but she is also happy relaxing with her people. "She has the basics in training so she is looking for her new family to get her brain working just as much as her legs. As Indie was found as a stray we are unsure what she is like with dogs outside of a kennel environment but has shown positive interactions with the dogs she has met whilst in our care." | 3rd party
