Frodo, 13 and a half years old, is another new, senior arrival - he is “desperate” to return to his home comforts, staff say.
You might not know it by looking at the large fellow, but on the other end of the age spectrum is baby Blue the Great Dane, at only one year old.

5. Delilah and Samson
This beautiful pair of English Bulldogs are looking for a foster home big enough for the both of them! Delilah is the most reserved of the pair but loves nothing more than a cuddle. She relies on Samson due to her decline in eye sight of which she is on going meds for. Samson is the most confident, and is an excitable boy who loves toys. Due to ongoing medical treatment, potential adopters must live within close proximity to Thornberry to attend veterinary appointments. 6. Frodo
This gentle older chap is Frodo, he is an impressive 13.5 years old and is desperate to return to his home comforts. He is a real foodie but would benefit from a little diet. He should have a garden with easy access – he does have a spring in his step and would still enjoy short walks. He is friendly with other dogs and could live with another older, gentle dog. He has not lived with a cat but he could with the right introduction to a dog savvy cat. 7. Rosco
Rosco, a two-year-old chihuahua x pug, has arrived at Thornberry with his sibling and the pair are finding things very overwhelming, but each day they are gaining confidence. He has previously lived with a cat – Rosco has not been socialised much outside the home but could be a match for a confident and polite adult dog with introductions here at Thornberry. He is better suited to teenage children aged 14+ and a secure, private garden is essential for him to unwind and relax. | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
8. Drac
One-year-old Drac the Lurcher cross is a very affectionate, energetic boy who loves nothing more to greet everyone he sees. Drac has enjoyed socialising with other dogs so could potentially live with another dog dependent on them having the same energy levels and pass a dog meet here at Thornberry. Drac has previously lived with children so could do so again dependent on the children being 6+ and dog savvy. Drac will require some further basic training and benefit from some loose lead training.
