One of those hoping to be adopted from Helping Yorkshire Poundies is Maple the cane corso, a 12-week-old puppy.
She was found in a box with her three siblings, and thankfully rescued.
Herbert the terrier is a “happy, friendly chap” who is a fairly new face at the shelter.
Bodhi, a crossbreed, and Franklin, a grown-up cane corso, are two long-term residents at HYPS - could you be the one to finally give them a home?
If you think you could, or you want to find out more about any of the lovely pups listed below, find more information and contact HYPS on their website.
Below are 11 photos of all their adoptable dogs, along with a few lines about their personalities.

9. Megan, at HYPS
Megan is such a little character, and despite being 12, is fit as a fiddle. She is a Patterdale cross and is looking for a home who know and love Terriers. Megan is a little star who loves to play with her toys, loves her food, loves her walks and loves to hop up onto your knee for a cuddle! She is totally clean in her kennel, so appears to be housetrained. She hasn’t shown much interest in other dogs so far – no aggression at all, but equally hasn’t been particularly interested in interacting, so may be happiest as the only dog or with a very calm dog who will be independent of her. | HYPS

10. Bodhi, at Helping Yorkshire Poundies
Bodhi is a very handsome boy who arrived at the shelter in terrible shape, and absolutely petrified. The eight-year-old crossbreed took a while to trust again, but he has transformed into a loveable, playful goofball, full of kisses and cuddles. He does not trust strangers, and needs very slow and careful introductions to anyone new. He is a very intelligent boy, fully housetrained, and he can be left alone for 5-6 hour periods at a time while he snuggles on the sofa. He needs medication for a skin allergy. He will need walks in quiet countryside where he can use his nose! | HYPS

11. Franklin, at Helping Yorkshire Poundies
Franklin is a lovely two-year-old goofy pup who is desperate to find a home after being at the shelter for over a year. He is a big goofy puppy, and just does not like busy areas - he needs a home in the countryside so he can be safely managed on walks. He is fully housetrained and can be left for a few hours with no issues. He loves to run and play with other larger breed dogs. He will need a child-free home and will need careful introductions to visitors. | HYPS
