Helping Yorkshire Poundies (HYP), which is based in the Rotherham area, proudly ‘saves dogs from death row’.
They currently have several pooches in their care, all of whom would love to adopted by a caring owner.
Among the dogs featured in our list is an ‘amazing’ two-year-old Husky and a Dutch Shepherd ‘looking for her person’.
Anyone interested in adopting any of the dogs featured here, or to see all of their pooches being looked after by HYP, should visit their website here: https://helpingyorkshirepoundies.co.uk/

5. Brie: A French Bulldog believed to be around one-years-old
A HYP spokesperson said: "Little Brie the French Bulldog is ready to find her forever home. She is only around 1 yr old and is an absolute sweetheart. "Brie adores everyone and laps up attention and cuddles at any opportunity (whether you like it or not haha!). She is such a good girl who is very puppy like and ‘into’ everything! She will do a bit of chewing if she can, but she’s learning what’s hers to chew and what’s not! "Brie is fine with other dogs, but can get a bit jealous if she’s with her human, and we think she may be happiest as the only dog so that she can have the limelight! "Or with a laid back male dog. She is not cat tested. She can be rehomed with children aged 8+. She really is the most adorable, affectionate little Frenchie who is so deserving of finding a 5* home who will give her all the love in the world. 6. Trigger: A Spaniel aged around 12-years-old
A HYP spokesperson said: "Meet Trigger – the youngest 12 yr old Spaniel in Yorkshire!! "He arrived with us a few months ago in a sorry state – he was very shut down, sad and skinny. "After some recovery time in his foster home, he is a new man, and is now ready to find his forever home. He is very sprightly for his age and still loves to get out for his walks. "Trigger is fully housetrained, can be left for a few hours and travels well. He is fine with other dogs, and could share a home with another calmer friendly dog, but is also very happy as the only dog. "He can’t be rehomed with cats. Trigger is such a sweet boy who is very well behaved and would love to find a quiet Spaniel loving home for his senior years. 7. Delilah: A Rottweiler cross breed believed to be around two-years-old
A HYP spokesperson said: "Delilah is the most gorgeous medium sized Crossbreed (probably a Rottweiler mixed with a smaller breed/s) – she is approx 2 yrs old but still acts very puppy like. She is an excitable girl with lots of energy and zest for life! "She can be bouncy and jumps up quite a lot, but she does her very best to listen and keep her excitement in check! She absolutely adores her people and will get as close to you as possible for cuddles – she doesn’t quite understand personal space!! "She’ll roll on her back for belly rubs, and cuddle in for a cuddle at any chance she gets. Delilah appears to have led quite a sheltered life and won’t have experienced much of ‘life’ so far, so everything is very exciting for her, and sometimes a little bit daunting too, but it’s not taken her long at all to get used to her routine with us – she’s a clever girl who is so eager to learn and please her person. "Delilah is dog friendly, but very playful, so would be too ‘much’ for older/less confident dogs. She will need an active home who have the time for her and would benefit from some more training, but the basics are all in place. She’s a very special girl who deserves a very special home. 8. Flynn: A Spaniel cross breed believed to be around 10-12-months-old
A HYP spokesperson said: "Flynn is approx 10-12 months old and is one very special, very bright, very energetic Spaniel crossbreed. We don’t know his exact breeding, but he is approx the size of a Springer and is very much all Spaniel/gundog in behaviour! "Flynn needs a home who understand his breed type and want to keep both his mind and body busy – he has SO much potential and loves to learn, so we want to find a likeminded home for him. "He settles very well in the home – is clean and can be left for a few hours. He is sharing his foster home with another dog who he is fine with, and is fine out and about with dogs, but he does not ‘need’ to live with another – he would be happy either way. "He can’t live with cats! Flynn is working on his lead walking – when he’s out, he’s very excited and wants to be everywhere as quick as he can, so does pull a lot on lead, especially on street walks – he’s learning quickly thanks to the hard work of his foster mum, but does need continued work with this and getting his focus more on his handler as he can get frustrated with walking on a short lead. He loves nothing more than having a good run (on a long line) to really burn off his energy. "Flynn would love to find a home where he can run to his hearts content. He would love an active, ‘outdoorsy’ home and lifestyle with a family who actively want to continue his training – he really is a very special boy who needs a 5* home.
