Picnics can be a great way to get outside and spend time with the family – as the weather continues to get sunnier, it provides a great opportunity to have one in Sheffield.
We’ve listed some of the city’s best parks to have a picnic – have we missed any of your favourites?

5. Rivelin Valley Park
Rivelin Valley Park, 70 Rivelin Park Road, Sheffield, S6 5GE. Rivelin Valley park has a plethora of beautiful, quiet spots for you to have a relaxing picnic in. There's also a few nature trails here if you'd like to do a bit of walking. Photo: -
Manor Fields Park, Sheffield, S2 1GH. Complete with an array of friendly wildlife (although you may have to keep an eye on your sandwiches), Manor Fields is a brilliant place to go for a picnic, complete with a play area. Photo: -
Meersbrook Park, 173 Chesterfield Road, Meersbrook, Sheffield, S8 0RP. If you're hoping to get active while you're out, Meersbrook park also features a multi-purpose sports cage, as well as plenty of great picnic spots. Photo: Andy Kershaw
Hillsborough Park, Parkside Road, Sheffield, S6 2AB. Located near the iconic Hillsborough Stadium, Hillsborough Park is often busy on match days, so plan accordingly! That aside, it's a great picnic spot and offers plenty of events all year round. Photo: -
