Sheffield Walkers Group: SATURDAY, MARCH 14. Dungworth Circular. Meet at the lay-by near the Royal Hotel, Dungworth. From here, up to Hill Top and down past Our Cow Molly’s ice cream factory via Neather cliff to Storrs Lane. From here it’s uphill to High Riggs and along the fields to Flash Lane. Then down to Hall Broom via Load Brook. Then a short uphill section to Ringwood Lane and down to the Royal Hotel, where we plan to meet for pie and peas, at about 2pm. Cost to be confirmed. Norfolk Arms Ringinglow Walk: SATURDAY, MARCH 14. Brookfield Manor. A four-and-a-half mile walk in the Outseats area of Hathersage on mainly little used paths and tracks, with great views of the Hope Valley and Stanage throughout the walk. Walks by Train: walkers are invited to discover the South and West Yorkshire countryside using public transport on railway rambles with the Penistone Line Partnership. Most walks follow public rights of way between stations along the scenic Penistone Line linking Sheffield, Barnsley, Penistone and Huddersfield. All are accessible by departing from Sheffield and Meadowhall stations on Saturdays. Some walks also take place in North Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
