Huge icicles have formed in the former railway tunnels which are now part of the picturesque 8.5-mile route between Chee Dale and Bakewell which is popular with walkers, cyclists, horse riders and wheelchair users.
The Peak District National Park said on Thursday that the icy conditions meant the tunnels had been closed with immediate effect until further notice.
