LORD Mayor of Sheffield Coun John Campbell will join fundraisers for a sporty challenge tomorrow, to power donations for young runaways’ charity Safe@Last.

Volunteers will be running, cycling and walking on sports equipment at John Lewis in Barker’s Pool for 2,012 minutes in the hope of raising £2,012 for the Dinnington cause.

Works close route

PART of Staincross Common in Barnsley will be closed to allow the installation of a water supply. It will be temporarily shut between Shaw Lane and The Balk from Monday, September 3, for about two weeks, to allow Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions to install the water supply. A diversion will be in place along Greenside, New Road and Sackup Lane.
