Travel specialist Bolsover Cruise Club has been crowned the top UK independent agent for P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises for the 25th consecutive year.

The awards were presented to managing director Michael Wilson on board the Queen Mary 2 in Southampton. Also recognised was Derek Wilson who, with wife Audrey, son Michael and daughter Julie, founded the company in the 1960s. Derek, aged 76, received a lifetime achievement award.

New rail firm chief

RAIL firm First TransPennine Express has appointed a new managing director. Nick Donovan, 48, succeeds Vernon Barker in charge of the company, which provides direct services from Manchester Airport and Cleethorpes to Sheffield and Doncaster.
