The information provided by Online Mortgage Advisor, also said that it takes an average of 101 days to sell a property in the UK.

The quickest area to sell being Edinburgh, with an average of 45 days and the longest being Bradford at 113 days.

The flat in Sheffield was first listed at £80,000, but has since been reduced to £70,000.

A spokesman from Reeds Rains, who is marketing the property said: “Super smart student pad investment, with a well designed living space that is clearly defined into areas for cooking, dining and relaxing.”
