The Google search data, which has been collated by Pure Property Finance, has revealed the British film stars whose homes have received the most traffic.

Despite his accent, action film hero Jason Statham, who made his breakthrough in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, was born in Shirebrook in 1967 and receives the highest number of searches at 880 per month.

Rob Johnson, Relationship Director and Property Expert at Pure Property Finance, said: “I recently had a discussion with a client about a celebrity buying a house off them. This led to us chatting about where movie stars would typically buy their homes. One thing led to another and I soon started digging into this with the team to find major celebrity hotspots outside of London right now.

“As expected, a lot of these big film stars keep their locations under wraps, but it was certainly interesting who else wanted to know where the biggest celebrities are living right now and how many other people were interested in this.”

Kate Winslet is the highest searched British actress with 590 searches each month, coming in at the 4th most popular.

Out of the 25 actors and actresses that were analysed, Gary Oldman took the crown for the ‘least Googled’ home with just 50 searches a month.
