GARDENING: And the rains came

Have your say

And came and came!

With this in mind I suggest the following action - when dry enough spike your lawns to improve drainage.

As our crops come to fruition counteract the excess rains by using sulphate of potash to both ripen our crops and, for our fruit, impart sweetness, and give colour to our flowers.

Usually we would use a high potash liquid feed but in the sodden conditions use sulphate of potash powder, there’s more than enough moisture around to take it in.

Remember, come August, I’ll wager the quality on our showbenches, both local and national, will be up to standard, mark my words!
