A green-fingered Sheffield woman is opening up her beautiful garden for the 14th year to raise funds for charity.

Christine Littlewood, of Fernleigh, 9 Meadowhead Avenue, Meadowhead, will welcome visitors to her garden on Sunday and Monday, May 25 and 26, from 1pm to 5pm.

Christine, who has been developing the garden with her husband since 1989, said: “We’ve raised more than £25,000 so far.

“The garden has been planted to provide interest all year round, so there’s plenty to see.

“We’ve worked to provide a variety of seating areas where you can take in different aspects of the garden.”

All funds raised will to go the RSPCA Sheffield Branch.

Kathryn Whitlam, branch chairman, said: “The Fernleigh garden is a beautiful idyll where people can pick up s tips, buy plants and enjoy a glorious day out.”
