Vegan eatery in Sheffield named among the top 50 in the UK

Church has been named as one of the country’s best by GoHen in their new annual rundown.

The restaurants included were selected because of their food, service, ethical practices and experience in general.

With veganism on the rise and the benefits it has in relation to climate change, GoHen wanted to promote and showcase the best vegan restaurants about.

The judges said The Church was not only one of the top vegan restaurants, but also one of their favourite overall.

“This isn’t just about food, Church is one of the coolest spaces we’ve seen, and we see thousands of bars and diners.

“It’s packed with iconography, arcade games, old school games, Playstations, pool table, on top of all that it serves vegan drinks and cocktails and an exceptionally good menu. One of our favourite venues of the decade.”

Famed Sheffield vegan kitchen, Make No Bones, serve up delicious vegan, home cooked seven food days a week at Church, which is based at 4a Rutland Way.Food is available 11am until 9pm daily.

Elsewhere, local hotels The Cavendish at Baslow and The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley have been recognised for their excellence in the latest announcement of The AA Hospitality Awards.

A benchmark for the hospitality industry, the prestigious awards, which are now in their 22nd year, were celebrated earlier this month.
