Spud Bros Sheffield: Superfan waits overnight as hundreds fill Fargate to taste TikTok's favourite potatoes
Hundreds queued across Fargate to get a taste of online sensation Spud Bros as they finally arrived in Sheffield today.
Sheffield city centre was buzzing today (November 12) in anticipation of the opening of new fast food outlet Spud Bros.
The jacket potato chain rocketed to fame in recent years through viral online videos.
On TikTok, the company has more than three million likes, while over on Instagram they have 46,000 followers.

According to the eponymous brothers, Jacob and Harley Nelson, this is due to their ‘values’.
“It’s what we started with - our family values; great food, good vibes and giving back,” they told The Star.
“What you see online is who we are, we’re no different in person - I think people just invested in that.
“I don’t know - we’re just doing our thing.”
And whatever that ‘thing’ is, it’s clearly developed a following, as hundreds queued across Fargate to be the first ones into the store and to enjoy the discounted first day potatoes.
But one superfan, Amelia, went even further.
The Spud Bros fanatic showed up at 5.40pm yesterday (November 11) to reserve her spot at the front of the queue.

“I’ve been to Preston, Liverpool, London and I’ve always been first,” she added.
“I thought I can’t not come to my own city and not be first.
“They’re amazing, they bring great vibes, great energy - they’re just down to earth guys and they’re amazing.”
And when Jake served her favourite ‘Spudfather’, he announced something special for their number one fan.
He said: “Usually, we do something big for the first customer of the day - but we thought, cause you waited 20 hours we needed to do something extra special.
“So what we’re going to do is come back here, we’re going to take you on a shopping spree.
“We’re going to do the biggest shopping spree we’ve ever done for anyone.”
