Summer is upon us and what better way than to wind down in the hot weather than with a fruity gin and tonic, why not try one of these gins from Yorkshire this weekend?

1. Masons Gin, North Yorkshire

Mason’s Peppered Pear Gin is perfect for lazing in the sun and what’s even better is that it’s made right here in Yorkshire.

Distilled using traditional copper stills and in small batches, their gin has ensured quality.

A berry bliss in the form of their Summer Fruits gin.

Perfect for those lazy summer nights this sweet gin is infused with fresh strawberries, raspberries, and vanilla.

It includes ten botanicals, including juniper and coriander and is uniquely copper pot distilled.

Leeds is the home of this drink, it’s creator Sara Birkinshaw is proud that the gin is made in the heart of the city.

4. Brittains, Doncaster

These handmade gins are made by a married couple John and Fiona Raper in Sprotbrough, Doncaster.

They offer a rhubarb flavoured gin which is perfect for the Summer paired with a sparkling tonic.

This is a subtle gin, great for those who are not keen on harsh-toned beverages.

The couple also make a premium gin which has notes of juniper berry and citrus.

However, if your not a gin lover they also offer a range of homemade vodkas, raspberry, butterscotch and chili, and chocolate.

5. Slingsby Gin, Harrogate

This gin is made with water which was once thought to have healing properties, many traveled to the Tweit Well for some relaxation and rest.

Slingsby's make a variety of Gins but their rhubarb flavour is perfect for the Summer months.

The rhubarb is sourced from the famous rhubarb triangle and local botanicals are used to craft this fruity drink.

There are subtle tones of raspberries and pink grapefruit.

6. PudGin, Sheffield
