National Fish and Chip Day takes place on Friday 5th June - marking a celebration of a classic British dish which has been loved by many for centuries while also raising awareness to support the industry that helps provide this family favourite, including those who fish our seas and are involved in its production.
Plenty are expected to join in the celebrations this year by treating themselves and possibly others to a nice takeaway in the Steel City - where they’ll undoubtedly be spoilt for choice due to the sheer number of excellent shops and restaurants both in the city centre and beyond.
With that in mind, we decided to take a look at the Google Reviews to work out the top-rated chippy in the city and just why customers rated their experience so highly.
