Ten takeaways across Sheffield have been awarded the highest possible food hygiene rating of five stars following inspections carried since March this year.
They include decades-old businesses from Chinese to fish and chips as well as some relative newcomers - with one adored chippy being hailed for serving “the best fish and chips I have ever had” by a reviewer.
A five-star food hygiene rating means hygiene standards are very good.
Awarded by local authority inspectors under the Food Standards Agency scheme, it shows a business complies fully with food safety laws and maintains excellent practices in food handling, cleanliness, and safety management.
