Sheffield restaurants Ashoka and Proove raise a tasty slice of money for St Luke's Hospice

Sheffield’s oldest Indian restaurant, Ashoka, teamed up with city pizza experts Proove throughout August.

Ashoka’s famous Taxi Driver curry was added to one of Proove’s acclaimed Italian pizza blends of smoked mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh red onion and authentic Neapolitan pizza dough.

The limited-edition pizza went on sale at Ashoka and both Proove’s Sheffield and Manchester r estaurants, raising a total of £1,172.50 for St Luke’s.

St Luke’s fundraiser Clare Collingworth said: “We were delighted that two such well-known Sheffield establishments teamed up to support St Luke’s in this wonderful way.
