Thornbridge, which runs six pubs in Sheffield and one in Dronfield, has launched its latest beer – called Florence in a nod to pioneering nurse and social reformer Florence Nightingale – to recognise the health service’s crucial role.
An India pale ale with a 4.5 per cent alcohol volume, Florence is described by the Bakewell-based brewery as having a fruity aroma and a 'defined bitterness on the palate’.

Next month marks 200 years since Nightingale's birth, an anniversary that prompted Thornbridge to choose the name.
Simon Webster, the brewery's co-founder and owner, said: “Those working for the NHS at this time are doing such an incredible job and we wanted to find a way to support them. What better way than to brew a beer to honour them and donate all profits to NHS Charities Together.”
The company has already been offering a 25 per cent discount for all NHS staff for beer ordered via its online shop.
