Pret a Manger has announced that it will reopen more than 200 of its UK shops for takeaway and delivery on Monday 1 June –but its Sheffield store is not on the list.

The sandwich shop's Leeds and Manchester stores are already reopen, with another 204 across the country set to begin serving customers again on 1 June to bring the total number of reopened shops to more than 300.

The chain was forced to close all its stores nationwide in late March because of the lockdown.

The Star has contacted Pret to ask why the Sheffield store is not reopening on Monday and when it is likely to open again.

Pret a Manger opened its Sheffield store in November 2017 on the corner of Church Street which was formerly known as Coles Corner. Prior to Pret opening, a HSBC Bank branch was based there.
