The shop is usually open seven days a week.

There’s little chance of a pastry drought in the city centre, however. The bakery has several other stores in the centre of Sheffield alone.

Earlier this year the popular high street bakery announced it was starting a new delivery service in Sheffield – and extending it’s opening hours.

Another popular bakery – Beres – is also starting a delivery service in Sheffield.

The Star has approached Greggs for comment regarding the closure.
