Sheffield food: Pizza takeaway given two stars for hygiene in first Food Standards Agency rating of 2026
A Sheffield takeaway has been handed a two-star food hygiene rating in the first assessment of 2026.
The Food Standards Agency gave Pizza Concord, at 7 Elm Lane, Sheffield Lane Top, a two out of five following an assessment on November 26.
Inspectors found ‘hygienic food handling’ needed improvement, including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage.

‘Cleanliness and the condition of facilities and building’ - including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control - also needed improvement.
Management of food safety was ‘generally satisfactory’, inspectors found, such as having a system to ensure that food is safe to eat, evidence staff know about food safety and the food safety officer has confidence standards will be maintained.
Sheffield has 559 takeaways with Food Standards Agency Ratings, figures show.
Some 311 (56 per cent) have a score of five out of five and none have zero ratings.
