Sheffield cocktail bar reveals reopening plans - including big discount for NHS staff

A cocktail bar in Sheffield city centre has told customers what to expect when it reopens, with NHS staff promised a big discount.

The Government is expected to announce pubs can reopen from Saturday, July 4, as the coronavirus lockdown is further eased.

Tiger Works Bar on West Street says it plans to reopen on that date provided the green light is given.

“The safety of our customers and staff remains our absolute priority,” it said.

Measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will include:

New seating and table options

All staff wearing masks

Hand sanitiser available to customers

Table service

One-way system

There will be a 30 per cent discount for all NHS staff with valid ID, and the bar says toilet attendants and door staff will ensure social distancing is maintained in queues.

“Things are going to be very different, but we can’t wait to welcome you back into Tiger Works,” added the venue.
