The Three Tuns on Silver Street in Sheffield city centre is another pub said to have more than its fair share of spirits. In 2020, the then landlord told how the reflection of a ghost appeared in a photo of a pint glass. South Yorkshire ghost hunters subsequently visited to examine the three storey premises and told James there were a number of ghosts roaming the pu,b including a mother and daughter, both called Gail. Earlier this year, staff at The Meltdown Bar on Snig Hill, previously known as The Black Swan and The Boardwalk, invited in paranormal investigators, who recorded what they believed to be ghostly voices there. Using what they call a 'ghost box' South Yorkshire-based paranormal investigation group WAH Paranormal claimed to have detected a voice saying "hello", "who's there?", "oh wow" and "I'm sorry I let you down". CCTV cameras at the Winter Green pub in Waverley, near Sheffield, earlier this year appeared to capture a glass moving on a shelf of its own accord before hitting the floor and smashing. It was just the latest spooky incident at the venue on Mitchell Way, where a salt pot was previously recorded falling off a table in the middle of the night, with no one around; and on another occasion a mysterious white 'swoosh' was seen coming through the pub carvery, before the carvery light flashed.
