Popular Sheffield cafe announces reopening date with safety measures and booking system

One of Sheffield’s most popular independent cafés has announced its reopening date with a host of new safety measures in place.

Marmadukes, which has traded on Norfolk Row since 2012, will reopen on Friday, 31 July.

The cafe, which has another site on Cambridge Street that has already reopened, uses ingredients from local, sustainable and ethical suppliers to make fresh coffee, salads, sandwiches and baked goods in-house daily.

The family-run business is owned by retired police detective Tim Nye and his wife Clare.

A post on their Instagram page read: “We’re super excited to be reopening original Marms on Norfolk Row this Friday!

“We’ve got lots of COVID measures in place to keep everyone safe and a shiny new booking system.”
