How Sheffielders can learn how to cook traditional Turkish food at home

Members of Sheffield’s Turkish community will be hosting an online cooking session, showing people how to cook traditional Turkish food in the comfort of their own kitchens.

Community members from Sheffield’s Dialogue Society will provide instructions on how to cook two dishes live over the Zoom app.

Attendees will be able to cook along with the presenter or just spectate - in the hour-long session on July 22 from 6pm, you will learn how to make menemen and cacik.

For those wanting to cook the traditional Turkish dishes live, the following ingredients will be required and can be bought prior to the session:

Menemen:

- 4 eggs

- 1 green pepper

- 2 large tomatoes or 1 can of chopped tomatoes

- 1/2 cucumber

- 1 bowl of yogurt

- garlic
