Henderson's Relish fan in Sheffield marks Pancake Day in the best way possible

So it’s hardly surprising that one fan of the famous sauce turned to it for inspiration on pancake day.

Minesh Parekh, a 27-year-old political researcher living in Pitsmoor, made what we think is a flipping great effort to recreate the bottle in pancake form.

"We’ve got around 10 different labelled bottles of Henderson’s Relish so I thought I’d try to make a pancake shaped like one,” he said.

Our only gripe is that none of the black stuff was involved in the batter or fillings for the pancakes which he whipped up for breakfast on Shrove Tuesday.

The batter was a vegan recipe, containing almond milk and vanilla essence but not a drop of the Sheffield elixir.

He plans to make amends this evening with a savoury version including Hendo’s in both the batter and the filling, along with vegan cheese and wholegrain mustard.
