Meadowhall signs four new food, drink and leisure operators including dessert brand Gooey

“High-quality food and beverage and leisure are central to Meadowhall's continued success”

Meadowhall has signed four new food, drink and leisure operators and seen reinvestment from four tenants.

Vue has refurbished its cinema, including fitting 'The Lux' recliner seats in every screen, showcasing its commitment to the centre, Meadowhall bosses say.

The investment follows 19 years of trading as a key leisure anchor.

In the Oasis food court, Suburb has opened on the Upper Level, selling burgers and pizzas. Five Guys has also recommitted to its unit on the Lower Level Oasis.

Meanwhile, food and drink brands Gooey, Iced, Vyve, and Rolled have all invested in the centre.

Manchester-based dessert brand Gooey has taken a prominent location opposite Sephora - the firm’s first location in the region.

Following strong trading in a pop-up, Iced has also signed a permanent lease, on a unit near M&S, while Aussie-style sushi company Rolled is outside Space NK.

Coffee, açai and matcha concept, Vyve, has taken a kiosk on Lower Level High Street.

Finally, M&S Café, has completed a refurbishment.

Richard Crowther, retail leasing director at British Land, said: "High-quality F&B (food and beverage) and leisure are central to Meadowhall's continued success, and this quantum of investment from both new and existing operators reflects the strong, long-term confidence in the scheme.

“From global brands like Five Guys and Vue to independents such as Suburb and Gooey, this breadth of offer underscores Meadowhall's regional dominance."
