Five-star rated Sheffield restaurant finally set to reopen after fire

A five-star rated Indian restaurant in Sheffield is finally set to open more than a year after being ravaged in a fire.

Kashmiri Aroma in Woodseats was forced to close following a blaze in January 2019 and has remained shut ever since.

But the owners, who also have branches in Bradford, Halifax, Ilkley and Wakefield, today announced the Chesterfield Road restaurant is set to reopen next Monday, March 16, and it is now taking bookings.

To celebrate, it is offering customers a 25 per cent discount throughout the week.

Kahsmiri Aroma has a 4.5-star rating on TripAdvisor, where it is ranked 75th out of more than 1,200 restaurants in Sheffield.

Firefighters spent two hours tackling the blaze which broke out there on the morning of January 18 last year.

The fire was not believed to have spread from the basement of the shared building, which Kashmiri Aroma occupies.
