First look inside new Sheffield restaurant The Teller - where small plates rule and the desserts sound gorgeous

The Teller bar and restaurant is the latest new opening on Abbeydale Road, which is becoming ever more vibrant with an increased number of places to eat and drink.

Overseen by general manager Andy Mastin and chef patron Sam Armitage, the ethos is ‘high-end quality food, great drinks and decent tunes’. Gourmet small plates are on the menu, and much attention has been paid to desserts too – fried sticky toffee pudding, billionaire’s shortcake with dulce de leche ice cream and ‘Granny’s Queen of Puddings’ are available to order. The restaurant is located in the building where The Vault antiques shop used to be, on the corner of Abbeydale Road and Sheldon Road.
