‘Delight’ at new menu for all to enjoy at this Peak District gastro-pub

Diners are set to enjoy a new culinary experience as the executive chef at award-winning gastro-pub The Bridge Inn has cooked up a new menu.

Darren Goodwin, the renowned executive chef at the pub on Calver Bridge in the Hope Valley, has lined up a delicious menu that is set to cater for all tastes and preferences.

Aimed at pleasing local walkers and destination diners diners alike, the new menu features a range of traditional proper pub grub, such as shepherd’s pie and the venue’s famed cheese, chorizo and aioli burger.

There will also be a selection of tapas and small plates available for diners you either are not as hungry, or cannot make up their mind and want to try a little of a few dishes, including moules frites, croque madame and mushroom rarebit.

David McHattie, The Bridge Inn owner, said the new menu would provide the ‘very best food’ by a ‘very talented’ chef.

He said: “We’re both delighted and excited to be starting this new phase of our restaurant.

“This new menu signifies a new era and period of further innovation for The Bridge as we continue to provide the very best food, service and experience for our guests.

“Darren is a highly adorned and very talented chef, skilled at translating our vision for food into a reality for our customers to enjoy, time and time again.

“While we offer a range of traditional pub delights and exciting, world-class tapas dishes, we’re also focused on pushing the social angle and that’s really what our new menu is focused on; social eating and drinking.”

Darren, who has 26 years’ experience in the food industry, made a move to The Bridge Inn to pursue quality dining which revolves around hand-selected produce which has been prepared with love and care in an environment where guests are encouraged to have fun with their family and friends.

The gastro-pub prides itself in moving away from the fast food lifestyle, empowering their customers to enjoy their meals at their own pace and experience.

The Bridge Inn is also running a special offer, with 50 per cent off food for their Dine Out Club members throughout weekdays until the end of February.

Located just 20 minutes from Sheffield, and only a mile or two from Chatsworth House, The Bridge Inn nestles at the foot of Curbar Hill which is an idyllic situation to relax with loved ones over a leisurely meal and drinks.
