5. New wetherspoon pub opened at former Damon's restaurant
The Scarsdale Hundred opened on December 16, on Sevenairs Road in Beighton, where the American diner Damon's restaurant stood until it closed in 2019.

6. Sheffield Plate opened in Orchard Square
Sheffield Plate took over the Orchard Square premises that were previously occupied by retailer Evans this year. The food hall in Orchard Square features a number of street food vendors with cuisines from around the world, as well as a bar serving cocktails, beers, wines and spirits.
7. Thorntons store on Fargate closed
Thorntons on Fargate in Sheffield closed earlier this year after the historic chocolate company founded in the city saw a change in high street trade during the Covid-19 pandemic.
