Earlier this week, Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed that the next stage of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown will be introduced on April 12 as planned.
This means outdoor hospitality, non-essential shops, hairdressers and gyms will all be permitted to reopen, subject to social distancing rules.
Groups of up to six people, or two households, will be able to meet in outdoor terraces and beer gardens in Sheffield’s pubs, restaurants and cafés.
As our readers begin to make plans for meeting friends and family, we have put together a handy list of 20 establishments in Sheffield that will be opening for alfresco dining from this month.

17. Nam Song
Nam Song, which serves up Vietnamese food and coffee, is set to open its Sharrow Vale branch for outdoor dining from April 12, and will invite customers back for indoor dining at the Broomhill branch when indoor dining is permitted from May 17. 18. The Grind Café
The Grind Cafe at Kelham Island will be open for outside dining and takeaway from Monday, April 12 with a brand new breakfast and brunch menu which is bound to have a whole host of delicious dishes on it. 19. Twisted Burgers at Triple Point Brewery
Twisted Burgers at Triple Point Brewery on Shoreham Street in the city centre is set to reopen from Monday, April 12. Their opening hours for the first week (April 12 to April 18) will be: 2pm until 9pm from Monday, April 12 to Friday, April 16; Midday until 10pm on Saturday, April 17 and 2pm until 9pm on Sunday, April 18.
