10 of the best events taking place at Sheffield Beer Week 2020

Sheffield Beer Week returns from March 9 to 15 when a host of ale-themed happenings will be taking place around the city.
The festival – founded in 2015 – is held in multiple venues. Pubs can host beer festivals, bars have tap takeovers, and restaurants offer menus that have tailored beer pairings.

1. Indie Beer Feast
The Indie Beer Feast kicks off Sheffield Beer Week at the Abbeydale Picture House on Friday and Saturday, March 6 and 7, with sessions running from 11.30am to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 10.30pm both days. Organised by the owners of ale specialists Hop Hideout, the event brings together local breweries such as Lost Industry, Thornbridge and Saint Mars of the Desert with outfits from elsewhere in the country. Gin, natural wine and coffee will be showcased too, and there will be street food stalls. Entry £6.50-£8.50 per session (www.indiebeerfeast.co.uk). returns to the iconic Abbeydale Picture House this March, kicking off another Sheffield Beer Week in style by giving you two days to sample a bunch of brilliant beers and fantastic street food.Organised by the folk behind the specialist beer shop Hop Hideout, the event brings together tons of breweries from near and far – including local heroes Abbeydale Brewery, Lost Industry, Neepsend Brew Co, Thornbridge and Saint Mars of the Desert, plus the breweries behind some of the best-loved beers from across the country and beyond, including Mikkeller, Cloudwater, Brouwerij Kees, and more – see the Indie Beer Feast 2020 brewery list below.The Gin Wagon will also be wheeling its way to the event, while the incredible Girls Who Grind will be on coffee duty, and Public will have you covered for natural wines.
