In preparation for the Race for Life event taking place on June 28 in Doncaster, Fitness Flex Doncaster are offering a free months membership to anyone taking part.
The event, which consists of a 5k in aid of Cancer Research UK, will take place on the Town Fields on Thorne Road.
For the month leading up to the event, Fitness Flex Doncaster will be issuing free memberships to all runners in a bid to help with training and promote health and fitness across the Doncaster area.
The memberships will be unlimited access, and will grant members access to the wide range of equipment available at the gym.
There is no limit to the amount of memberships given out over this period, however those interested must provide proof that they are running in Race for Life and must come into the gym itself to get their free month. The offer is not available online.
As well as just access to the gym, Fitness Flex Doncaster also have a number of lifestyle advisers that can issue training programmes to members free of charge.
All staff at the gym are experts in their fields; whether that be Sports Performance, Weight Loss, Strength Conditioning or Health Improvement.
The idea, which was conceived by Facility Manager Jon McCool and Customer Service Advisor Sean Elliot, has been put in place as a means of supporting such a worthwhile cause.
Jon McCool said: “We’re absolutely delighted to support such a good cause. It’s an issue that effects many people’s lives and we feel passionately about supporting all those taking part. I’d personally like to wish all runners an enjoyable and successful day.”
Fitness Flex Doncaster can be found above the Premier Inn on High Fishergate, Doncaster.
The gym is open 6am – 10pm Monday to Thursday, 6am – 9pm Friday, 7am – 6pm Saturday and 8am – 5pm Sunday.
