Handmade Burger Company, Valley Centertainment, Broughton Lane Sheffield S9 2EP

I visited the on a very busy Saturday evening before the cinema. I ordered an American Chicken Burger with hand-made coleslaw, my son had chicken skewers. He got to make his milkshake himself, which he loved doing. The food looked and tasted delicious, but my son’s enormous milkshake was the hit of the night. We thought staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience.

My husband and I often go there for lunch on a Saturday or for a delicious coffee in the week. It’s very friendly, with excellent service. The food is of a very high standard and is presented really well. There are so many really nice touches to the service in this little gem of a cafe. There is always a plate of pizza pieces on the counter for people to try, which I think is a nice touch. And you get a biscuit with the delicious coffee.

I had a great lunch at the Rutland Arms today – it was perfect comfort food. I went for the infamous ‘slutty rutty butty’ - a bread cake oozing with melted cheese and thick bacon, accompanied by lovely hand-cut chips and their special spicy tomato sauce. They have a great chef and serve proper pub food in proper pub surroundings.. It’s the perfect location on a cold winter afternoon, or just before or after the footie on a Saturday
